My name is David Birch and in 1995 I purchased a decent film camera to document my travels in Australia and overseas. I bought a Minolta and after a few years when Digital format cameras where starting to become popular and the price was becoming more affordable, I decided on Nikon cameras to go forward in my photography and still use them today. After taking many happy snaps, I found myself focusing more and more on the landscape. Without even trying, I sold my first image to a friend after returning from a trip to Vietnam and that’s where sales started. I quickly realised after many requests that photos from around South Australia that people could connect to or relate to would be popular and help my progress forward. Hopefully I have an image or two you would be proud to hang on your walls.
